Coastal Home | Luxury Glass and Stone

O House | Minimalist Design

This is a beautiful minimalist mountain home design “O House” designed by  architect Philippe Stuebi. This surreal home is located in Lake Lucerne, Switzerland. The natural views surrounding the home are humbling. The luxury villa architecture expresses simplicity and allows nature to be the largest artwork in this collection. Top notch architectural detailing allow this project to be one sure to receive accolades.The lake elevation with superb mountain views of the Rigi and the Burgenstock displays a protruding, glistering loggia created from round glass bricks. These decorative elements are a strong contrast to the rough renderings of the side facades. The basement nestles along the slope and opens into a large fitness area with a 25-meter swimming pool, half inside, half outside, that is inserted in a white terrazzo plate. The terrazzo plate extends gracefully from the pool bar positioned inside along the boathouse created from white tinted, rough jetted concrete into Lake Lucerne. The pavement is made on black stones that remind us of natural ambiance in a tropical wood. A new type of spa that transmits relaxation and softness to the lucky recipient of the spa treatment. We can all use some relaxation in our lives. By using decor as a tool for creating soothing environments we can make relaxing an integral part of our daily lives.    

Emu Bay House | Modernistic Wide Views

This modern bay house by architect Max Pritchett is located in Emu Bay, SA, Australia. The concept design is of a relaxed home holiday with wide views and sheltered outdoor areas. The house lays on an exposed site of sweeping views. The living area is sheltered with a dominant floating “lid” roof. It has two bedrooms on its wing that surround  a rear-sheltered courtyard focusing on a wood-fired pizza oven. The sheltered outdoor space is complemented with expansive decks along the side of the living area. To maximize the views and create the dramatic form, the house is elevated a meter above the ground.

Designed mildly to accent the minimal color  incorporated into the artwork and furniture, the Villa negotiates a fine line between a family-designated space while maintaining a firm hold on its Mediterranean style.  This luxury seaside villa is created with a graceful nature which allows organic light to find its way in from the South. By using moderate colors and detailed architecture, this beautiful structure utilizes placement and natural accents to provide its essence.

  

Invisible Furniture by Tokujin Yoshioka

 In 2010, Tokujin Yoshioka introduced The Invisibles, a collection of "invisible" furniture for Kartell that employed their pioneering polycarbonate technology to produce a thickness never before seen or manufactured.The Invisibles "Light" appears to escape from this material world. It melts into people's daily lives like the air. Here, Yoshioka has utilized  new production capabilities to construct a non-intrusive and light capturing design. This objet d' art  maximizes the observance of form as it relates to functionality and appearance.
